Picsart Alternative for AI Photo Edits: NeedPS vs Picsart (2026)
Written by Mordechai Peretz · Updated October 8, 2026
Picsart is an all-in-one creative app: AI photo and video editing, templates, stickers, collages and a chat assistant called Aura. NeedPS is narrower on purpose: an AI photo editor and graphic maker for iPhone and Android where you type the result you want, with dedicated tools for removing people, restoring old photos and upscaling, and a graphic maker that checks the text it draws.
Choose Picsart if you want one app for photos, video, stickers and templates, on your phone and on the web. Choose NeedPS if you want fewer choices and a finished result: describe the change, get the photo back, and reach a human designer in the app when something needs a second look.

What is a good Picsart alternative?
If you mainly use Picsart for photo fixes, such as removing objects, changing backgrounds or improving quality, NeedPS is a focused alternative on iPhone and Android where you type what you want. If you use Picsart for video, stickers and templates, a single photo editor will not replace it.
Is NeedPS easier than Picsart?
NeedPS has fewer tools and fewer choices to make: you describe the result and get it back. Picsart offers much more, which suits people who enjoy building an edit step by step and working with templates.
Can NeedPS edit videos?
No. NeedPS edits photos and makes still graphics. Picsart includes a video editor and AI video generation.
Does NeedPS remove backgrounds like Picsart?
Differently. NeedPS replaces the background with one you describe, such as plain white, a studio or a beach, but it does not export transparent cutouts. Picsart's Background Remover makes clean cutouts.
Is NeedPS free?
NeedPS is free to download on iPhone and Android, and you get free edits to start, on every tool. After that you can buy one-time credit packs or a monthly subscription in the app, at the price your app store shows for your country.
